I came to Healing Strength Personal Training hoping to become
a bit more educated and encouraged to live a healthy and active life. I
was just out of college, working my first 9 to 5, living on fast food
and frozen dinners, and working too much. Six months later I was the
heaviest I've been in my life and felt terrible; I knew something had
to change and the longer I waited the harder it would be. While the
idea of a healthy lifestyle seemed simple enough: eat healthy foods and
exercise, attempting to incorporate these changes into my life was a
surprisingly daunting task. It was a struggle to find reliable and
consistent information on the internet for my new lifestyle so I sought
out the help of a personal trainer to point me in the right direction
and get me comfortable in a gym environment.
I gave Kennett a call, set up a consult and came with a very long list
of questions. As an engineer I want to be told what to do, when to do
it and why I'm doing it. This is exactly what I got, and then some. I
wasn't looking for someone to yell at me for 30 minutes and scare me
into working hard. Working with Kennett was always comfortable and I
was consistently pushed to my physical boundary without ever feeling
unsafe. I was working with Kennett three days a week and started to see
major differences when I looked in the mirror. I was amazed at what
these changes did for my confidence and how much better I felt just
going through the day. Driving home and feeling great after a hard
workout with Kennett became something I looked forward to and even
though I went after a long day at work I never once made an excuse not
to go. It was fun and even after nearly a year I still enjoy "my time"
in the gym. I'm on my own now but can walk into any gym and know
exactly what I should be doing, how to safely and effectively do it,
and without worrying about what the people around me are doing.
I would highly recommend Healing Strength Personal Training to anyone
looking to improve themselves but may feel overwhelmed and not know
where to start. While Kennett will not do the work for you, and it
won't always be easy, you will get what you put into it. For me, I put
all that I had into it and what I've gotten back I can't quantify, but

I love that you change things up every day, so it presents me more with
a challenge. I love all the information and magazines you provide for
clients. I have never seen that with anyone before, so it makes me feel
as though I am not some number. The classes are fun and challenging,
but doable. He knows his stuff, and he does a good job of making sure
you are doing the moves right, so you get the most out of each workout.

Hi Kennett,
I wanted to let you know that I went white water rafting this past
weekend and am very excited to report that I was physically able to
keep up all day. I spent all day on the river paddling, swimming,
jumping, climbing rocks, etc and never ran out of steam. I was able to
pull my own weight the entire day even when we had to carry the raft
uphill at the end of trip which I would not have been able to do a
month ago. I have not really seen any progress on the scale or the way
that my clothes fit me but I am definitely getting stronger and my
stamina has increased and it felt great not having to say "I can't do
this", I was able to do it all with no problem. Well except maybe a
little tough carrying the raft uphill but I did it without complaint,
damn that raft was heavy! I also know that in the past if I spent the
day on the river my arms and back/sides would have been incredibly sore
and I did not have that happen this time.
The boot camp has really made a difference and I am glad that I am part
of your team! Thanks for all of your hard work to help us ladies change
our lives!

"I knew it was time for me to make a change just for me. It wasn't easy
but I enjoyed it and it worked. I got up every morning at 5am to get
myself and my grandson ready in the mornings. I got him off to school
and I was on my way to my fitness class @ 6:30am then off to work after
that only to start it all over the next day. I didn't think I would
make it but I decided to commit myself. Sometimes we feel we don't do
anything for ourselves and I seized this opportunity. Kennett showed me

I had a car accident in 2004 and the chiropractor I was seeing Dr.

“About 2 years ago I had to have back surgery. After the
surgery my moving around was limited. I gained weight very
fast. When my doctor finally released me I heard of the "boot camp"
from a co-worker. We went together and participated after I saw that
everything was alright with my back. I began to eat right and walk even
more after boot camp each day. So far I am very pleased with
the results from boot camp. Washington & I have talked several

I don't know if you remember me. I had made up my mind to attend the boot camp. In the midst I had trouble/pain with my feet. I went to my orthopaedic doctor, who determined that my arch had fallen, and that I had torn ligaments. I eventually had an MRI for further determination. As a result I had surgery on Oct. 4th on my left foot. He repaired my arch, fused bones, made an incision in my heel bone, repaired my leg tendon, revised my lower leg tendon, and revised my calf tendon. I have three incisions, and my recovery is non-weight bearing. I contacted you prior to surgery to see if I could still attend boot camp, and you advised me to follow my doctors orders. Of which I'm glad I did, and I appreciate that you advised me well. I just read the message below, and once again became inspired. As soon as my doctor clears me, I will definitely be back. If I can't start out in boot camp, I would like personal sessions, as I desire to be healthy and fit, more so than ever. I will look at the videos, and Jackie is blessed to have you in her corner and her life. God bless you young man, for your dedication to well being of others.
